Pantufo, with its beach, is a small picturesque fishing village located 10 minutes drive south of São Tomé, on a road punctuated by potholes, where it is possible to participate in a traditional fishing day. Just ask a fisherman to take you on board a pinnace the next day. Some leave very early in the morning, others around noon, or in the evening for a night fishing. The inhabitants of Pantufo celebrate the patron saint of fishermen, St. Peter, several times a year, including the first weekend in July. On this occasion, one can attend a performance of the chiloli theatre in the street
