By going to Ben Lawers (west of Aberfeldy), go through Yew, where you can find the oldest vegetable sample in Europe: a 3 000-year-old if it is. Pontius Pilate is assumed to be born here, with his father being a legion officer based in Yew, a seat of King Picte Metalaenus. Ben Lawers is the only peak (1 214 m) of the summit you will have at the same time and a view on the Atlantic and the North Sea, Loch Tay and Glen Lyon, the longest Scottish valley.
