Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park is one of the two national parks of the country. Created in 2002, it covers 1,865 km2 and displays varied and impressive contrasts. Two huge protected forests are spread out there: Queen Elizabeth and Argyll Forest Parks. In the north, the altitudes increase as one advances with superb munros to climb. Everywhere hiking is a privileged activity, with famous paths like the West Highland Way, the Cowal Way, the Great Trossachs Path or the Rob Roy Way. It is also the land of fairies... Boat cruises are also a good idea to discover these sumptuous landscapes in a different way.
