In the southwest, Ogi is a small port which allows to reach the coast by ferry via Naoetsu. The main tourist attraction on the coast is to go into a kind of wooden washing machine(taraibune) with a round shape and managed by fisherwomen dressed in a traditional way. Their rice straw hat even has a bow tie. Riding in these funny boats and floating on the crystal clear waters of Sado is really a beautiful experience.
