Charming hotel-restaurant in Bruges on a barge offering cabins with modern bathrooms.

An unusual hotel! This boat used to be a barge on the Bruges-Ghent canal, now anchored in the little port and transformed into a charming, affordable hotel-restaurant. Ducks and seagulls clamor for breakfast crumbs through the porthole. The cabins are adorned with noble woodwork and photos of old ships, giving them an exotic retro tone. Just like the life jackets on the beds, to feel the little thrill of sleeping on the water. Small but cozy, they feature a large window overlooking the canal.

Schönes gemütliches Zimmer mit Blick auf den Kanal. Frühstück war gut. Personal abends im Restaurant öfter überfordert. Essen im Restaurant war gut. Hundepauschale von 15 EUR pro Tag etwas drüber. Gerne wieder.

ik heb eerlijk gezegd hier enkel gegeten want dit is ook een restaurant en dat was zeer lekker (een beetje op grootmoeders wijze) en zeer schappelijk van prijs en zeer vriendelijke bediening een aanrader

Wish I had read the reviews before booking. I normally never review if I've had a bad experience. However, the rooms are a lot smaller than the photo gives credit for. You couldn't swing a cat in them as the constant sight of dogs at the breakfast table would scare them away. Ahh, breakfast. There'd just not enough room. You're constantly squeezing past other guests to get to the food. One morning. The bain marie hadn't been switched on, so the bacon, eggs, and beans were going cold. Toaster was also turned off. No butter, margarine for the toast. But that's OK because you'll trip over one of the many dogs before you get back to your table.
To make matters worse. We had just spent a month travelling through Europe, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, etc. And this barge was the most expensive and worse of the lot. Do yourself a favour avoid.

Leider deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Einiges an Reparaturstau. Erhebliche Mängel in der Sauberkeit der Zimmer, insbesondere des Badezimmers.
Personal zwar bemüht, klar zu wenig.
Die Lage zur Altstadt und zum Bahnhof ist ein Vorteil.
Deutlich überteuert für die Leistung.
