For nearly 30 years, De Koetse has been a reliable partner in Bruges, with a very professional service. At its head, the Vanderyse-Coppens couple welcomes you to a rustic and warm room. The smell of grilling on a wood fire, the house's specialty, tickles the nostrils as soon as you walk through the door. The menu offers a beautiful choice of well-prepared dishes: lobster or Italian-style prawns and many specialities offered for a constant rediscovery, such as Flemish beer carbonnade. More classic suggestions complete a pretty gourmet menu: grilled bone-in side or steak. To accompany your dishes, do not hesitate to ask the sommelier, Piet Vanderyse, for advice.

This restaurant was FANTASTIC. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. We took our 4 & 6 year old, and were nervous it would be too fancy, but it was a big celebration so wanted to go somewhere special and this was the perfect place. It was beautiful inside, the food was delicious and the staff were so kind to our children, making them laugh, showing them the lobsters and generally made us all feel so relaxed. We all loved it.

Comfortable with attentive service and really excellent food. We were greatly impressed with. The way that cooking methods were adjusted to avoid our having the same sauce with two courses. A true highlight of our time in Bruges!
