Pamplona is a student city of about 60,000 inhabitants, 70 km from Cúcuta and 120 km from Bucaramanga. At 2,278 meters above sea level, in the valley of Espíritu Santo, it enjoys a cool climate throughout the year (16°C on average), with mists coming down from the mountains, giving it a romantic atmosphere.
