Star Arctic Hôtel has a real "Passion for Lapland"! For your convenience, they now offer "Passion for Lapland" or "Passion for the Northern Lights" packages for a full week or shorter stay. These packages include accommodation, full services and popular activities, all at a reduced price. It's the easiest way to discover the whole of Lapland. Accommodation options include suites, sauna suites and glass-roofed cabins for sleeping under the stars.
Here are just a few of the activities on offer:
Husky experiences. An unforgettable experience: hunt for the northern lights in a dogsled, accompanied by a guide, through the Arctic forest when the sky is completely clear. A day tour is also available, with lunch afterwards. A feeling of freedom in this unspoilt wilderness.
Reindeer experience. Immerse yourself in the world of reindeer. You can feed them, take photos... all by snowmobile, fully equipped.
Snowmobile experiences. Discover the Arctic forest by snowmobile, day or night, when the aurora borealis season is in full swing. Option available with lunch. All accompanied by an experienced guide.
Northern lights hunt. Several options are available: go in search of the northern lights by snowmobile, by car, with huskies... Duration: between 2 and 3 hours. Possibility to dine and warm up around a fire.

Our story:
At the beginning of 2016, two families who shared the same passion decided to create a hotel at the top of Kaunispää in Saariselkä. Why? The reason is simple: we are in love with this Arctic region. The beauty of Finnish Lapland is so pure and powerful. Imagine the wilderness bathed in the midnight sun or the northern lights dancing in the sky. Here, it feels like living in a dream that you don't want to wake up from. That's why we want to share our passion with you by showing you the best that Finnish Lapland has to offer.
