Keuruu (population 9,543) is a charming little village on the northern shores of Lake Keurusselkä, home to one of Finland's most interesting wooden churches. Keuruu's church is one of the finest examples of 19th-century Finnish architecture. The murals are exceptional, and you can admire a gallery of portraits of biblical characters.
