A fort that can accommodate up to thirty men and built to defend the island in case of attack by the British navy.
Built under Napoleon III to defend the island in case of an attack by the British navy, the Lequin fort is located near the Fort de l'Alycastre and its eponymous bay. It could accommodate 30 men. On the spot, you can enjoy the view of the coast and the surrounding beaches. Decommissioned at the end of the 19th century following the commissioning of the Fort de la Repentance, the site has been entirely managed since 2005 by the Conservatoire du Littoral, which received the allocation from the Ministry of Defence. To the right of the fort, a path will lead you to a beautiful cove.
