Less than an hour's drive from Bukhara (45 km), Gijduvan is a small town renowned for the quality of its ceramics. Unlike those of Rishtan, in the Ferghana valley, the colors of Gijduvan's ceramics lose their blue dominance to display more varied patterns, green, orange or copper. We advise you to visit Abdullo Narzullaev's workshop, located at the entrance of the village, a stone's throw from the road connecting Bukhara and Gijuvan. Reserve your money to shop here, the ceramics you see in Bukhara stores all come from Gijduvan. You might as well use the local handicrafts!
