The small chain of the Nourata Mountains is perfectly visible if you venture to the banks of the Aydar Kul, which runs parallel to it. It is an area entirely populated by Tajiks, with only one road serving small villages at the foot of the mountains. No tourist infrastructure, few shops, but a warm and hospitable population, always happy to see travellers passing by.
