Alimenté Lake is the largest artificial lake in Poland, fed by the San and Solina rivers. It owes its existence to the construction of a dam over 650 m long. Also known as the "Mer sea", it is a water reserve of 22 km 2 for 150 km of coastline, which sometimes form small fjords. It has recreational and water sports centres, including Solina, Myczkowce, Polanczyk and Jawor. Forests all around the lake are suitable for berries and mushrooms. In summer, it is possible to carry out mini-cruises about one hour on the lake.
