Accessible via the E6 road, this small town has a year-round population of around 1,000. Located in the Orkladalen valley, it is also the administrative center of the province of Rennebu. It is home to the Orkla River, one of Norway's best salmon rivers. Don't miss Birka, a national arts and crafts center located along the E6 road to the south of the village. Every year, Berkåk organizes the Rennebumartnan, a festival of traditional and contemporary arts and crafts held in early November. It brings together no fewer than 150 craftspeople from all over the country to showcase their skills.
