Small, quiet town of around 2,500 inhabitants, famous above all for its museum dedicated to Kjell Aukrust (author of books about his childhood: Simen, Bonden and Bror Min), the famous Norwegian cartoonist and humorist born here. It may be worth making a 20 km detour to see the mountain lake of Savalen, set in a landscape conducive to lovely walks. The highest mountain in the area is Storsølnkletten, at 1,827 meters. We recommend you don your hiking boots and take a stroll around the area, filling your lungs with fresh air - some of it very fresh!
