TRATTORIA POPOLARE

Italian restaurant and pizzeria €€

One of the best Italian restaurants in town. The products are fresh and for many, of Italian origin. We recommend the 4-course menu in order to taste a maximum of specialities (antipasti, selection of pastas, meats and desserts) but it is also customary, as in Italy, to choose several dishes to share! Moreover, we give it our preference since we really get our money's worth. Nice selection of wines. We appreciate the card with the precision of the origin of each of them. Victim of its success, do not hesitate to reserve!

This charming little shop is also a restaurant serving cheese specialities. The setting is nice, the atmosphere is relaxed and warm, and the cuisine is typical of a French bistro (not necessarily very exotic): wooden furniture, checkered tablecloths, rustic decorations: everything is there! This little ginguette serves soups, sandwiches, good wine... And it is with difficulty that we will leave empty-handed because the gourmets will find a certain number of quality products there

NEDRE FOSS GÅRD

Scandinavian restaurant €€

Built in 1220, this place was a mill that belonged to the monastery on the island of Hovedøya. It is therefore ideally located close to the Akerselva River, and the interior is simply splendid: white walls and mouldings on the ceiling, plants here and there, brown leather benches, light-coloured parquet flooring. A marvel. The menu is refined and the prices reasonable. Today Nedre Foss Gård also has a wine bar, a cocktail bar, and a beer bar (which serves good burgers), just that!
