Moreover, we give it our preference since we really get our money's worth. Nice selection of wines. We appreciate the card with the precision of the origin of each of them. And with good reason: next door to the Mathallen Food Hall, Døgnvill Bar & Burger serves some of the best burgers in the capital. Delicatessen has existed in Oslo since 1999, with a first address in Grünerlokka. After opening a second place in Majorstuen a few years later, it is in Aker Brygge, that he settled in 2013. The Delicatessen is certainly the best tapas address in Oslo! Just look at the queue and the restaurants often full! Located on the ground floor of the Thon Gyldenløve Hotel, this Mexican bar and restaurant, with its large veranda, is ideally located along the beautiful Majorstuen Avenue. Lorry is not only a good traditional Norwegian restaurant, it is also one of the oldest! This characterful place with its historic bric-a-brac atmosphere is a very popular place and in the summertime offers one of the most beautiful terraces! You are more than welcome to stop and try some of the 129 beers available. The prices are reasonable and the portions generous, a place that we recommend without hesitation. In addition to being one of the city's best known and most popular addresses, it is a place that is very representative of the atmosphere of the capital.

Opened in 2010, this restaurant immediately attracted international attention. It serves Norwegian cuisine based on seasonal and organic products. The wines are paired with each dish with flair. The modern and bright decoration adds an appreciable cachet to the establishment. Very (very!) subdued atmosphere. The Michelin guide awarded it two stars in 2014 and a third in 2016. Maaemo is now considered the best restaurant in Oslo. An atypical and excellent place if you want and can do a gourmet restaurant.

The house that houses Oslo's oldest restaurant dates back to 1700, and it has celebrated 140 years of service! The old pink-tiled building has a great charm and great writers like Henrik Ibsen and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson used to go there. To the right of the entrance there is still a bar with antique furniture. Local cuisine with game and lutefisk. When the weather is nice, tables are set up on the terrace to stay in the shade of the big leafy trees that lean towards the humble façade while contemplating the most beautiful square in the capital.

Built in 1220, this place was a mill that belonged to the monastery on the island of Hovedøya. Salads, vegetarian dishes, meat, nice fish dishes, like grilled mackerel, there is really something for everyone here. They also offer a daily special, every day different. On Saturdays, it's reindeer! This institution is well known to readers of the crime writer Jo Nesbø. Indeed, his main character, Inspector Harry Hole, is a regular here!

In Norway we like pizza, and biking. So at Peloton we've brought the two together, to satisfy as many people as possible. We go there to get our bikes repaired, to watch the competitions on TV, or just to eat a pizza without worrying about the bikes. The most motivated people can even learn how to make pizzas with the house's own pizza chef! The prices are honest given the standards of the city, even for a pizza, and the atmosphere is always pleasant! Lovers of cycling in all its forms and gourmands have found their address!

A good, if not the best, Vietnamese restaurant in the capital. A very popular address for locals. If the place is not particularly pretty, you can eat well and for less than 200 NOK ! Huge menu, enough to satisfy all your table. Many vegetarian dishes available. Lots of soups and rice vermicelli dishes. Children's menus are also available. This restaurant is also well placed in Oslo to see a corner where you don't necessarily go otherwise. A nice place to eat well without spending much money.

Prices are quite high for what are, in the end, fairly basic yet refreshing offerings (the choice isn't limited to burgers or tartines). The real assets of this bar-restaurant are its colorful, modern interior design and its location in the heart of the vibrant Vulkan district. A new district full of surprises has been taking shape over the past few years. Another advantage is the rooftop, open from May to September, and the bar, which transforms into a club in the evenings from Thursday to Saturday!

Fresh products and Turkish specialities, served with a smile! Inside, a nice decoration that changes from the usual kebabs, and prices that really make you want to eat. Simple and healthy traditional Turkish dishes, such as Børek stuffed or not, mixed plates with kebabs and homemade white sauce, rice or bulgur, salad and small raw vegetables, soups, marinated meats. Also several vegetarian proposals, it's great!

A very nice, authentic café, located in the peaceful setting of the gardens of the Museum of Natural History. The interior is simple and very bright with pastel tones and natural wood. You can eat on the terrace in the summer, in the calm and sunshine! Not much choice for this restaurant but very tasty and healthy proposals, such as humus or homemade aïoli served with rye bread as the Nordics know how to do it, a soup of the day according to seasonal products, vegetarian or vegan sandwiches on request. Desserts and sweets at the top!

This former food storage shed has been given a makeover. It's now home to Vippa, a trendy seafront food hall featuring a multitude of stalls offering different styles of world cuisine. Tajine, Chinese noodles, Norwegian fish, German beers or French crepes, this is the place to indulge your exotic cravings. When the weather's right, a ginguette-style terrace overlooking the fjord attracts strollers and the curious, who are not averse to a stop in the sun. A must-see!

Under high state protection, this is the most authentically "Oslo" "brown café" in the capital: 3 small rooms with moss-green and off-white lacquered panelling, with an old-fashioned stove in the first and last room halfway up the stairs. Renowned as a place where lawyers, policemen, politicians and journalists come to quench their thirst (their offices are not far away) the place offers a solid local cuisine. Opposite, on the left under the porch as you enter, is the Paragrafen bar, with its rather speciality: gull eggs.

Unquestionably one of the capital's trendiest and most popular places. The Mathallen Food Hall is a superb indoor food market, particularly well stocked. You can go there to taste sushi, have a drink, a coffee, do your shopping, eat a burger or buy Italian cold cuts... The offer is relatively important and the setting is very warm. In winter, you can also eat in the restaurant by the fire under a teepee installed outside! A must-see!

Welcome to the best dumpling restaurant in town! Here, we play with Asian flavors and atmospheres, a world cuisine worthy of the spirit of the Grønland and Tøyen districts. Whether eat-in or take-away, dishes are meticulously prepared and presented. Beware, though, that portions aren't exactly generous, so don't underestimate your appetite. It may not be the most affordable address, but if you're craving exotic cuisine, you're sure to be satisfied!

A splendid restaurant, all white and with the windows wide open to admire the fjord just below! Not only is the design impeccable, but so is the quality of the cuisine. For lovers of Norwegian gastronomy, this is one of the temples of its kind. It's a great place to spend time and stroll around before your meal to work up an appetite, and afterwards to digest! Reservations are recommended, especially as it would be a shame if all the tables were taken!

At Arakataka there is no code. The rule of the house is to know how to make from day to day with the products of the moment! The chefs have fun with new compositions and recipes to seduce the customers, who take to the game. The dishes are based on traditional Norwegian products, adapted to Western and modern recipes, for a mix that is always original and sometimes surprising but never disappointing! This kind of test meal is actually a nice surprise, because the bill is never too high for an almost gastro dinner.

The location of this restaurant is ideal as it is close to the museums, the Nobel Prize Center and the city center. Here we are in the heart of Aker Brygge and yet a bit in Italy! The food is good and not too expensive. About 80% of the dishes are gluten free, good to know. The choice of pizzas is large and original as well as the wine list. The service is remarkable and with a smile. The restaurant is very proud to have won^3rd place in the World Pizza Championship in 2016. We highly recommend it.
