This quiet rural town is located 1.5 hours by bus from Vang Vieng and 5.5 hours by road from Luang Prabang (very winding mountain road). It is not particularly interesting except for the fact that it offers an authentic and traditional face of Laos. Bus drivers often take a lunch break here, while passengers can relax and have a local lunch in one of the town's restaurants. If you come to Kasi by scooter or motorcycle, you will see its true face. Time seems to stand still here... The villagers live peacefully away from the hustle and bustle of Vang Vieng.
