Opened since November 2015, this museum installed in the pretty blue building of the former customs house was born from the need to enhance the memory of the island. You will discover permanent collections of texts and ethnographic objects highlighting the historical heritage, on what was the epic of the "white gold" making the inhabitants of Cape Verde live during centuries. The young generations as well as the visitors will discover a very particular world which contributed to forge the identity of a whole country.
