It is one of the major artistic events in the Austrian capital. For five weeks, this high quality festival takes over the city's stages and Vienna takes on its cultural quarters. On the programme of this great festival, you have about forty theatre creations, happenings and others. The shows are presented in 175 performances and 70 concerts of great diversity. On stage: classical operas, performances, hip-hop choreographies, avant-garde theatre, readings, electro concerts...

As its name suggests, the traditional Osterklang, or Easter Sounds Festival, invites the faithful and others to attend beautiful services with the participation of great orchestras from Vienna and elsewhere. Sacred music concerts are also scheduled outside the church buildings, in the most beautiful halls of Vienna. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra will of course be there.

Among the hundreds of balls in Vienna, here are two contrasting ones: the very traditional Opera Ball is held according to the rules of the art, in black and white, in a historic building. It is one of the most famous and popular Viennese balls. Just across the street, another historic and prestigious building, the Auersperg Palace, hosts the eccentric and colourful Rose Ball, the ball of the LGBT community. In 2021, both balls were scheduled on the same day. Rejoicing!

This Viennese concert house is a particularly popular address for music lovers who can discover and hear a wide range of musical diversity from Renaissance music to the most contemporary compositions, from cabaret to music for children. The Wiener Konzerthaus offers a variety of renowned festivals such as the Resonanzen, which focuses on early music, and the Wien Modern, which focuses on contemporary artists.

The Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concerts, the most popular of all, take place on December 30, 31 and January¹ in the sumptuous golden hall of the Musikverein. This tradition dates back to December 31, 1939. Around the great Strauss classics, the enthusiastic audience can clap their hands in time with the orchestra and express themselves without embarrassment during the performance. The New Year's Eve concert is broadcast on television in over 90 countries.

The largest dance festival in Europe is seeing companies from around the world set up to produce already run shows or news in several emblematic locations in the city. 250 workshops allow newcomers to meet dance professionals, regardless of style.
