This pleasant address offers comfortable and functional rooms, which is rather welcome in this desert region. The view of the Icelandic moor from the French windows is even more appealing, making it an off-the-beaten-path place to stay. The establishment has 99 rooms all equipped with bathroom. Rather isolated, it is a good address for lovers of peace and nature. Restaurant and bar on site. In winter, the owners will wake you up on request in case of northern lights.

Sadly (for us), because it was winter and we were on a driving holiday, we both arrived and left while it was dark. Therefore, I cannot comment to the setting or surroundings of the hotel but I imagine they were lovely.
The room was great, just as expected and perfectly clean and tidy - it was also a really good size. If you're staying multiple nights or long enough to enjoy sunrise, then I imagine the full height window and door to the outside deck area would be wonderful to enjoy.
Breakfast was okay but relatively limited in selection compared to some hotels. What was offered was nice.
Due to its location in the middle of no-where (a good thing), it's likely you'll have an evening meal here. We opted for the buffet restaurant over the à la carte restaurant and again, it was okay. The food was nice and there was a good selection of meal options to cater to most tastes. The dessert options were quite poor though and were not replenished very often. As with many Icelandic meals, it was very expensive.
We'd love to stay again if we're lucky enough to be in Iceland in the future.
