Located in the old town, this small, traditional restaurant - engagingly named "Les Trois Français" - prides itself on its specialty of thinly sliced whale steak served with a succulent sauce. The menu also features many local dishes and fresh fish dishes that are sure to please... The pan-seared halibut fillet, served with lobster, is a real treat! The staff are also a real "delight", very pleasant and some even speak French, which is always good to know. Mind you, the budget is still quite substantial!

Owner's Message
The restaurant Þrir Frakkar, was opened on March 1st. 1989 and has since been run by chef Úlfar Eysteinsson and his family.
The restaurant is ideally located in the city centre and is within walking distance of the main shops and services in the centre.
The chef. Úlfar Eysteinsson and his son Stefán Úlfarsson, have continuously focused on fish dishes and the restaurant has become well known for its delicious fish dishes. Other specialties on the menu include whale meat and seabird entrees.
3 Frakkar seats 44 people and prides itself on the quality of its service. Prices are moderate and the restaurant offers an inexpensive lunch menu.
