The building may not look like much, but it has ticket counters, a recommendable cafeteria, toilets, an info point and luggage storage, which is always accessible. From the bus station, you can walk to the capital's city center in around 20 minutes, mainly through residential areas.

The domestic airport is so close to the center that, in fine weather and with little luggage, you can walk to it along Njarðargata. Generally punctual, the ride from Reykjavik is still at a fairly high price. A good option if you have an early flight and want to avoid walking 20-30 minutes to the station: take a taxi from your hotel to the bus station, and take a shuttle bus.
