A former seaside resort that was very fashionable in the 19th century, Sidmouth is a small coastal town popular with pensioners at the western end of the Jurassic Coast. Here, the coastline is dominated by the bright red sandstone cliff dating from the Triassic period. Along the waterfront is the Millennium Walkway which runs the full length of the beach, ideal for beautiful walks. From here you can easily reach the pretty villages in the surrounding area. There are many attractions and activities for the whole family to enjoy. The World of Country Life, just a few kilometres away, is a great idea for a family outing.
