Mochima has been classified as a national park since 19 December 1973 and covers 94 935 hectares of sea and land on the states of Sucre and Anzaotegui. Located between Puerto La Cruz and Cumaná, Mochima means Indian "abundant water". Don't miss this park with its magical islands reminiscent of Scotland, but under tropical light. We discover not only paradise beaches, but also fish that will satisfy even the divers without bottles. We bathe in an aquarium where sardines, tuna, bars, groupers or bats intersect. The coast is so mountainous and sometimes, there and there, emerge sedimentary rock on which pelicans, gulls and cormorants arise. Wind, sun and constant heat have fostered an vegetation of cactus and dried brush, which sometimes comes from wild goats. The monkeys, foxes, lizards and rabbits are more discrete.Information: with Lila from the Topaz agency in Cumaná.
