Water (the sea) or… by the water (the how mánamo). For the Waro Waro pass through Maturin and go to San José de Bujas. To go further, there is the plane as well as Pedernales has a track (Maturin-Pedernales, 30 minutes). The small village of Pedernales lies at the end of the peninsula: if you arrive by the sea, you must go to the police station where a member will confine himself to noting the name of your boat and your passport number. Sailboats arriving from Trinidad will not see the entrance channel, without the entry waypoints no reliable markup allows to maneuver between the high funds, but know that there are no less than 4 m of water. For the least adventurers (who still remains), you can reach Pedernales by the Mánamo passage, leaving Tucupita. The village is quite clean, some colorful shops, a bright church. It is in August that the tide is the strongest, it is also the time when the most blue crabs are seen along the banks. The Waraos love it then it's time to taste them, with termites with a mentholé taste…
