Another charming little seaside town that is worth a stop. It is located at the end of Route 162, on a point of land.Originally a small fishing village, Lysekil has developed into a fishing and shipping industry. Another important industry, that of red Bohus granite from the town's quarries, contributed to the town's economic development until the 1950s. In addition, one of Sweden's largest oil refineries, Preemraff Lysekil, is located outside the city. Today, Lysekil has established itself as a leading spa and bathing resort, and tourism is still an important part of the town's economy.
