Gintu is the village of the enigmatic Bada Man, who awaits you across the river, in the middle of the prairie, in the valley of the same name. He resembles an Iroquois with his crest, receding forehead, round eyes, big nose and pinched mouth. At 5 metres high, it's reminiscent of the statues on Easter Island, but this one proudly displays its raison d'être, reaching for the sky. Once in Gintu, the Lore Lindu reserve is close by, and it's a shame not to venture there. The area is populated by poisonous snakes, megapods, anoas, birds, macaques and insects of all kinds, and the vegetation goes hand in hand.
