Jeongseon is especially known to be the cradle of the most famous Korean traditional song: Arirang. Jeongseon arirang, one of the 500 versions of this song which finds its origin under Goryeo. To get an idea, we recommend that you listen to Kim Young-Im's poignant interpretation of it. The lyrics of Jeongseon's version are sad and nostalgic, lamenting the prison formed by the mountains of the region By bus. From Seoul (Dongseoul) there is a trip every two hours (between 7am and 7.15pm). It takes 2h30 of road for 20 000 Wons.
