Freiburg's Augustinermuseum is an art treasure trove housing a collection spanning the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Housed in a church converted by architect Christoph Mäckler, it offers an immersive experience. Highlights include cathedral originals, medieval sculptures and masterpieces by Grünewald, Cranach and Grien. The Haus der Graphischen Sammlung showcases a rich graphic arts collection, with 3 spaces providing the ideal setting for 90,000 drawings, prints and photographs. The museum also presents 3 temporary exhibitions a year.
