Flensburg is the northernmost city in Germany on the Danish border. It will be even more exotic than elsewhere in Northern Germany, especially since it is home to a large Danish minority; the city is also bilingual. The Baltic coast and hinterland east of Flensburg are quite wild, pleasant to explore and perfect for cycling tours.
