In the heart of "Holstein Switzerland", so called because of its idyllic lake and forest landscape, Eutin is a charming little spa town of 17,000 inhabitants situated between two lakes (Großer Eutiner See and Kleiner Eutiner See - the large and the small). It has a pleasant market place, an elegant castle and an English park. One can take a break here, if only to honor the memory of the composer Carl Maria von Weber who was born here in 1786 (birthplace in Lübecker Straße, no. 48). In addition, Eutin is a participant in the great Schleswig-Holstein classical music festival, and with a little luck you can attend the summer concerts.
