A new Planetarium opened in the metropolis in 2013, in a purpose-built building in the heart of the Olympic Park, annexed to the Biodôme. Its innovative concept is at one with its reinvented approach, which sets it apart from other planetariums around the world. In addition to its exhibitions, it is above all its immersive shows that draw the crowds, including Un jour sur Mars, a vertiginous immersive experience on the Red Planet. A must-see! The Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium is synonymous with an unparalleled cosmic adventure in a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly facility. Just a stone's throw from the Biodôme, art, culture and emotion come together to rediscover astronomy from a different angle. You can admire the gigantic van der Heide sundial or the statue of the famous Nicolas Copernicus. The "Passport to the Universe", a 3D film projected in the 360° dome takes you into space, while being comfortably installed in a giant pouffe in the middle of the room. Not to mention the "Continuum", an astronomical theater that will leave you amazed by the beauty of the Milky Way. An immersive and fascinating experience not to be missed.

Nous y sommes alles avec deux enfants de 13 et 8 ans qui ont adore, tout comme nous !
Je n'ai pas très bien tout compris, le gars à l'accueil m'a parlé d'un film mais notre intérêt était vraiment l'exposition. On nous a dit que le film était la principale activité et que celle-ci était payante mais l'exposition de mars était gratuite, ce que nous avons fait.
Je crois qu'on avait de grosse attention et nous avons été terriblement déçu. Seulement un scénario de planète mars, 4 affiches d'astronautes, un coin de plantes qui glow, des affiches de personnes connus dans l'astronomie et un jeu de lumière rouge ....
On s'attendait à plus, voir toutes les planètes, le soleil, l'espace.....
