A national historic site managed by Parks Canada that brings to life for visitors the epic story of the fur trade in Montreal.
This National Historic Site brings to life the epic of the fur trade in an enchanting place at the confluence of the Lachine Canal and the St. Lawrence River. The warehouse located on the site dates from 1803 and was commissioned by Alexander Gordon, former clerk and shareholder of the North West Company; it was later purchased in 1833 by the Hudson's Bay Company. The historic site is now managed by Parks Canada (annual map available).
