J'ai adoré

Personnellement je n’ai pas vu l’intérêt de ce musée … La visite se fait très rapidement et n’est pas des plus passionnantes
À moins d’être vraiment un passionné d’histoire, ce musée ne vaut pas le détour et est cher pour la prestation proposée.
La 3e étoile est pour le sourire de la réceptionniste

Une visite qui vous fera voyager à travers certains histoires à Montréal, un endroit où vous - vous... sentirez 1 X } tous.. & } Tous X 1 X } Si vous vous intéressez à l'histoire et au patrimoine, bien sûr, ici c'est encore mieux, vous découvrirez bien plus que vous ne l'imaginiez.
L'histoire de cette prestigieuse demeure commence le jour de sa construction pour Claude de Ramezay, alors gouverneur de Montréal, en 1705.
Aujourd'hui, le Château Ramezay est un musée et un lieu historique national.
On y découvre comment les influences amérindiennes, françaises, britanniques et américaines ont façonné la vie des Montréalais.
Après la visite de l'intérieur, promenez-vous dans le Jardin du Gouverneur. Vous y découvrirez un verger, un jardin d'agrément et un potager rappelant un jardin urbain du 18e siècle en Nouvelle-France.

The story of this prestigious residence begins the day it was built for Claude de Ramezay, then Governor of Montreal, in 1705.
Today, the Château Ramezay is a museum and a national historic site.
Here, we discover how Amerindian, French, British and American influences have shaped the lives of Montrealers.
After visiting the interior, take a stroll through the Jardin du Gouverneur. You'll discover an orchard, a pleasure garden and a vegetable garden reminiscent of an 18th-century urban garden in New France.

Musée interactif avec des explications audio et vidéo qui ajoutent un vrai dynamisme à la visite

We were visiting from out of town and love to see historical places like this preserved and promoted to help not only document the past in a tangible way but also provide opportunities to understand our present times - how we got where we are today. This building saw many changes over its existence. We really appreciated the amount of time spent creating imaginative stories that were available through headsets in each room to help understand the people and events. The downstairs area looked recently renovated and had useful teaching aids for young people. There was a small collection of paintings of Quebec City in two of the rooms that was interesting. We enjoyed the gardens in the back though there had already been prepared for winter - I’m sure they’re much nicer in the summertime. Enjoy your visit.

LOVE the experience.

Pretty small museum which exhibits various rooms (paintings, furniture, reconstructions…) relating to the life of the inhabitants of Montreal, it from the origin of this city. The explanations in French and English are quite bright and welcoming (a guided tour is possible in each of the two languages). At the exit, a pleasant garden- where sauntered- is not to be missed.

Very quiet and interesting old small museum. And the small garden full of different plants at the exit is worth seeing.
