The oldest private history museum in Quebec that presents historical exhibits, notably on Hochelaga.

Château Ramezay has been a historic building in the heart of Old Montreal since 1705, and its museum is a must-see! Thanks to its rich collections, its exhibits will help you explore and better understand the history of Montreal and Quebec, starting with that of the Aboriginal peoples before the arrival of Europeans. What's more, in its vaults, you can take a seat in its reconstructed interiors to transport you back to New France. The Governor's Garden, a unique example of an 18th-century garden, is accessible free of charge.

Ein wundervoller Eindruck über die Entstehung der Stadt Montreal. Viele Informationen können auf Deutsch abgerufen werden. Lohnt sich in jedem Fall!

I went to this museum because the bigger museums were closed on Mondays. I enjoyed this very much. I learned a lot about Montreal history and enjoyed the recorded audios that they had. Some rooms were closed for updating but still worth the money. I would recommend at least 2 hours if you actually want to listen and learn everything
