A recreational and tourist park that is very popular in both summer and winter, a major entertainment venue in the Old Port of Montreal.

Converted into a recreational park, and ultra-frequented in all seasons, the Old Port of Montreal stretches over 2 kilometers and offers a breathtaking view of the majestic St. Lawrence River and the islands of Parc Jean-Drapeau (bring your camera!). A mecca for entertainment, it's THE destination par excellence for spending a few hours or a whole day with family or friends, with a phenomenal range of activities on offer, including the Ferris Wheel, the Montréal Science Centre and the new Port of Montréal Tower, all of which are open year-round. In summer, you can rent pedal boats, personal watercraft and quadricycles; take a cruise on the river or a thrilling excursion on the Lachine rapids; go zip-lining or relax on the urban beach or at the Bota Bota spa; take advantage of street entertainment and festivities that go on non-stop... Winter is no exception, with ice skating on the Bassin Bonsecours and even more festivities. The waterfront comes alive all year round, with the famous winter electro music festival Igloofest (a must-see!) and the gourmet events PoutineFest and Festival Streetfood Montréal. And as if that weren't enough, almost every year Cirque du Soleil sets up its big tent for a colorful show. Visit the Old Port website for details of the program and, above all, the prices and opening hours for each activity.
