RENÉ-LÉVESQUE PARK
A small green peninsula that offers an unbeatable view of the majestic St. Lawrence River and Lake St. Louis in Montreal.
This small green peninsula at the western end of the Lachine Canal offers an unbeatable view of the majestic St. Lawrence River and Lake Saint-Louis. A parallel spit of land marks the original entrance to the canal, inaugurated in 1825. Attached to the park is the Musée de Lachine, offering discoveries in contemporary art and history (closed from December to the end of March), not to mention its open-air site featuring some 50 contemporary sculptures. Also nearby is the Lachine Canal National Historic Site.
