A park in the heart of the Saint-Michel Environmental Complex that offers a 360 degree view of the city.

The project to transform a former quarry and landfill site into a green space was born in 1995. At the heart of the Saint-Michel Environmental Complex, Parc Frédéric-Back covers 153 hectares. Divided into different sectors, the park is constantly evolving, but it's already a pleasant place to stroll or cycle. In particular, it offers 360-degree views of the city. The astonishing spheres scattered around the site cover the wells used to capture the biogas emitted by the landfill waste.
