Hello. I have been trying to reach out in reference to unknown charges on my credit card after I checked out. It’s been weeks since I am trying to speak to the receptionist/accountant.
I would really appreciate if you can contact me on my email id.
BEWARE: DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. Trust me when I say - you will regret it. I made a reservation at Auberge le Pomerol last weekend. We then payed for the room for two nights and went inside, only to see that there was NO shower and the room was tiny and dirty. When I immediately returned to the desk to ask for a refund, the receptionist MOHAMED promised me that the worker coming in the next morning would process the refund. We then stayed at another hotel for the two nights. The next day, same story - the receptionist NADIA told us to call back Monday to process the refund. We then received an email starting that we would NOT be getting a refund, even though we were promised one by multiple workers. They are also REFUSING to let us speak to the manager or anyone higher up. My next step is to get my lawyer involved in this process. Save yourself the money and headache- do NOT book here.
Quiet room, kind folks at the desk, old renovated building and awesome location next to the best transit hub in the city (where 3 underground trains converge).
We stayed two separate occasions, a total of 4 nights. Very conveniently located across the street from Berri-UQAM Metro station. The front desk workers were nice, one lady especially was very helpful with tourist information. One of the rooms we had (4th floor) was quite small with a very small bed, but we had no complaints. It was clean, everything worked well, and the bathroom in particular was very nice. The other room we had (3rd floor) was more spacious and had a larger bed. We were very happy with both rooms.
There is no breakfast here (sign in the lobby says there was until the pandemic), but it still seemed like a good value. There is a comfortable foyer next to the front desk, with a faux fireplace. They also were kind enough to let us store our suitcases in their storage room for a few hours after check-out, before we headed to the airport.
Location and price - its a good choice. Hotel has charm and the front desk staff were very nice. Especially. Hien. She is very patient, kind and explains things very clearly.. you may find more charming, but if you were just needing a place to sleep in order to explore Montreal - this is a good one.
UNSAFE. There is strong odor of gas in the hotel's front stairwell. I reported this to the Front Desk staff and they refused to contact the authorities to investigate. I asked multiple times. I did not feel safe in this building. I checked out immediately and had to find another hotel. Staff first claimed the smell was present off-and-on for years, and claimed they did not smell it. Three of us all smelled the strong gas smell, however. My friends also staying in this hotel checked out. Auberge Le Pomerol refused to refund me. Only AFTER we all checked out and booked other hotels did they decide to contact the utility company to check for a gas leak. I don’t know what resulted with that, but their refusal to check for a gas leak after multiple guests reported the smell of gas in a stairwell is shockingly negligent. Avoid.
My daughter and I spent the weekend here and had a great trip. The location was perfect - walking distance to the winter festival, and a slightly longer walk to other places we wished to go. Parking was around the corner for $12 a night. The room price was much better than others in the area.
The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. We did not have someone come and clean the room and change the towels, but we may have missed something there, like a need to put a tag on the door or something. Either way, we were fine. (Plus we're enviro-friendly.)
The room itself was comfortable, and well-decorated. Honestly, the only issue was that there were little things that needed fixing - a window with a small crack, the gel and shampoo and conditioner dispensers over the bathtub were broken (and while bottles were provided as replacements, there wasn't a bottle of conditioner), a light switch that was broken and wouldn't turn off and required a strip of duct tape to keep it off. Also, warning: the hot water comes out HOT - keep an eye on your bath or it will be scalding.
All the same, I'd stay there again. Highly recommended.
We were treated very well at Le Pomerol, special shout out to Nadia and Larry who were extremely helpful since we were not familiar with this area, they really went above and beyond in their service, I highly recommend this hotel
Auberge le Pomerol is part of the Hôtellerie Champêtre network now houses the best inns and hotels of québec city. It is in the Charming Hotel category in urban environment. Interesting concept when you are looking for a rather special place while being in the heart of the city. you will find it on www.hotelleriechampetre.com
I would really appreciate if you can contact me on my email id.
Thanks!
