Inn offering cozy rooms and various activities in a pleasant setting away from the city of Baie-Saint-Paul.

Located away from the city of Baie-Saint-Paul, in a quiet and natural environment, the inn occupies the former house of the presbytery of Saint-Placide. The period style is everywhere, from the floor to the ceiling, sublimated with artisanal wood creations. Five cosy rooms, each named after a whale, are available for guests and two can accommodate up to four people. To enhance your stay, activities can be organized on request (musical evening, storytelling, massage therapy, torchlight racket, special menus, etc.).

After eight years, our family returned to Catherine's bed and breakfast hotel. Only 7 hours north of Boston, the slopes of the Massif de Charlevoix offer a variety of ski terrain, from sunny quiet forest runs to double diamond moguls and beautifully groomed pistes. We left Boston in the morning of Christmas Eve, crossed the Canadian border with no wait, and arrived at Auberge Carpe Diem in the late afternoon through a thick veil of heavy snow. We were greeted as old friends, seated in front of the big fire of the wood-burning stove, and offered a glass of perfectly chilled wine.

The hotel was just as we remember it - the beautiful character of an old farm house with a modern eclectic twist. All the spaces - the bedrooms, the dining hall, and even the laundry room are created thoughtfully, tastefully, and with consideration for the guests' comfort and privacy. We felt welcome and invited in a warm and comfortable space to enjoy our ski vacation.

Most notably, the hotel is exceptionally well-kept, the common spaces cleaned thoroughly every day, and the stove always had a big burning log. Our beds were crispy clean, fresh, and comfy. The bathrooms were sparkling clean, tastefully set up with beautiful towels, fresh soap, and everything else we needed to feel pampered.

Breakfast was served to accommodate our daily trips to the slopes, and was always delicious, fresh, and plentiful. Catherine is quite the cook and her breakfast creations are presented with imagination and a variety of colorful fresh fruit. I couldn't stop taking pictures of the food we were offered... :)

Catherine and Youness are wonderful hosts, and made us feel like old friends visiting for the holidays. We came back with vivid memories of their beautiful home, lovely pets, and their warm and welcoming smiles. We will absolutely visit them again!!

Aucun remboursement possible. À déconseiller fortement.
