Clearwater is the gateway to the majestic Wells Gray Provincial Park, a site revered by hiking and adventure purists and one of the last remaining areas of the Canadian Rockies untouched by mass tourism. Clearwater Lake is 28 kilometres long and offers many water-based activities such as paddling, canoeing, kayaking and more. Camping is also popular in the region and even offers equipment rental services on site. In winter, you can try your hand at lake fishing by digging a hole in the ice on Dutch Lake. Snow taxis take you on trips to Clearwater Lake where moose are most likely to be seen.
