Saturna is a mountainous island with idyllic beaches. Every July1st, it organizes a big barbecue for its 350 inhabitants and visitors. The island has small vineyards that are interesting for lovers of good wine. The more adventurous will prefer to climb Mount Warburton by bike or on foot. To reach the island from the Vancouver terminal (Tsawwassen), it is necessary to take a ferry to Mayne Island and then a second one to the island. Once a day, there is a direct connection from Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island. Once there, water cabs provide access to the Gulf Islands.
