This nature reserve is located on the Strait of Magellan, about 35 km north of Punta Arenas. It consists of the two islands Marta (12 ha) and Magdalena (85 ha). The latter is home to a colony of Magellanic penguins (the number of pairs is estimated at 42,000 individuals) as well as cormorants, sea lions and other marine species of the Strait. In the past, the natives, then the first settlers and the evergreen pirates landed here to obtain food and other supplies. It should be noted that the Comapa and Solo Expediciones companies provide the excursion every day during the high season (October to April). Count from $50,000 to $90,000 depending on the company.
