This little-known reserve is an ideal picnic spot on the way back from Fort Bulnes. Established in 1977, it protects the lagoon of the same name and the beautiful Nothofagus forest. It is possible to observe hoemules there and fishing is notorious (rainbow, brown or coffee trout and brook trout). Note: the name of the reserve does not come from the parrillas that have been installed there, but from the zarzaparilla (Ribes magellanicum), a shrub that grows in large numbers around it. The Chorrillo Hermoso circuit goes deep into the forest; the birds are not shy and the place is quiet. It is a short and very easy walk. La Conaf has also developed camping sites.
