This park is located 28 km north of Punta Delgada, on the border with Argentina. The fauna is abundant (guanacos, grey foxes, pumas, rheas, flamingos...), the flora is characteristic of the Patagonian steppe (coppice, grasses like the coiron...), but we will be interested in the volcanic formations which give the landscapes a lunar atmosphere, which gave the park its name, given by the Tehuelches: "the country of the devil". The cave of Pali Aike has become famous, as remains of some 11,000 years old, those of the Fell men or Paleoindians, have been found there. Then, about 8,000 or 9,000 years ago, new tribes (the ancestors of the Aonikenk) populated the area.
