Great Guana Cay, like its neighbors Elbow Cay, Man-o-War Cay and Green Turtle Cay, is part of the Loyalist Cays, still populated by descendants of early Loyalist emigrants. A small strip of land off Marsh Harbour, Great Guana has only about 100 inhabitants and offers privacy and solitude. Most visitors make only a day trip from Marsh Harbour. The island was one of the hardest hit by Hurricane Dorian in November 2019, but rebuilding is almost complete in 2022 following the impressive efforts of the residents. It's time to go and discover this renovated little piece of paradise!
