This village, with a population of about 200, is an old settler settlement, which for a long time was ignored by visitors. Now served by an asphalt road, the village is a haven of peace, where the spirit of the former settlers hangs in the air. A single road crosses the main island from one end to the other. Heading south, however, there are a few left turns to make sure you don't miss a thing: Cherokee Point and Little Harbour for Pete's Pub and Gallery, the Bahama Palm Shore Parrot Watch, and the new village of Schooner Bay. All are well signposted.
