Museum of Popular Art for artists and ethnologists in Lisbon, housing quality temporary exhibitions.

In this museum you will find: jewellery, musical instruments, traditional costumes, sculptures, ceramics, tools, etc., from all the provinces of Portugal, collected as they go by artists and ethnologists, as well as quality temporary exhibitions. Inaugurated in 1948, this museum of Popular Art, closed for almost 10 years in 2004, has seen the dusting of its rooms divided by region. It is the unloved museum of Lisbon, because it is often considered as a product of fascism since it is a creation of the Estado Novo.
