CAPELA DE SANTO AMARO (CHAPEL)
A round chapel with a large esplanade with a view suggesting an unusual walk to discover the tiles panels.
One of the most unfairly misunderstood places in Lisbon. For an unusual stroll, you have to wander a little in the district, to find the way to this round chapel, built in 1549, but nowadays a little abandoned. It is usually closed, but its vast esplanade offers a wonderful view of the Tagus and the city. Behind its gates you will see sublime azulejos panels, dating from the 18th century and coming from the Rato factory.
