Roman baths in the form of huge pools organizing very exceptionally guided tours in Lisbon.
Located in one of Lisbon's busiest streets, these Roman galleries were discovered by the Marquis de Pombal's architects after the 1755 earthquake! They are made up of various galleries and enormous basins (thermal baths), probably dating from the 1st century AD. To visit, ask at the city museum, which very exceptionally organizes crowded guided tours on specific dates. They usually only open their doors to the public twice a year.
